As a child, I would watch this movie and hear Gene Wilder sing this song but it really didn’t mean anything to me. I remember hearing this song as an adult (while my kids would watch this movie) and almost roll my eyes. Sure, Gene….we should all live in a world of pure imagination….NOT!
But there came a moment, a moment in my career and life that I realized…you can truly create what you see in your head. No, it isn’t instant and it isn’t always easy. And NO, you might not change the WHOLE world. BUT…it happens, it is worth it and it will change YOUR world.
Most adults lose their ability to dream and imagine. But when you take a moment….breathe….and just let your mind dream… it is STILL there! The dreams….the hopes….you are a creative at your core! The question then becomes….Will you look for ways to turn your wildest imaginations into reality? Willy Wonka did! From the musical locks to the lick-able wallpaper….it is only a dream until someone makes it real.
